A Sizzling Summer Ahead - with SOS
Swindon Open Studios has a number of events planned for the summer months. These encompass Swindon and many surrounding towns and villages and showcase the work of over 100 local artists. Events are outlined briefly here but for detailed and up to date information please visit the SOS Website.
Old Town Festival, 1 June
You will find the SOS team at the Old Town Festival on Sunday 1st June, from 12 noon to 5pm, at Old Town Gardens, Quarry Road, OId Town in Swindon.

Running in the tent will be some FREE taster workshops, each one will be on a first come first served basis with a maximum of 8 people per session.
The taster sessions will be:
12.30pm - 1pm: Carolyn Brown - Using Pastels
1.30pm - 2pm: Carmen Norris - Mixed Media Collage
2.30pm - 3pm: Carmen Norris - Mixed Media Collage
3.30pm - 4pm: Spellbound Arts & Bakes - Making a mini teranium
The team will be joined by the Urban Sketchers who are coming along to record the day and some of the SOS artists will be painting alongside them.
Please note that parking will be difficult in the area so please park further away and walk to Old Town Gardens where possible.
Swindon Arts Fringe, 16 - 29 June
Celebrating the history of Swindon Open Studios (SOS), with an exhibition called I ❤️ SOS.

Featuring 31 artists past and present. The exhibition will tell the stories of some of the artists who have taken part in the popular community art event over the years. Sharing the space will be 4 other Swindon Arts Fringe exhibitions. It's FREE to enter so go along and see some inspiring art.
When: 11 am to 5:30 pm, Monday the 16th, to Sunday the 29th June 2025 inclusive.
Where: Entry is via London Street: 11 The Carriage Works London Street, SN1 5DG.
Facilities: Regretfully, we do not have toilet facilities or refreshments available on site for the public.
Swindon Open Studios in September
Artists from all over Swindon and the surrounding areas will open their studio doors or participate at group venues and show their latest works. The dates for 2025 are 20th - 21st & 27th - 28th September.

This year there over 100 artists taking part from Wanborough to Wroughton, from Stanton Fitzwarren to South Cerney, Hannington & Cricklade with Rodbourne, Gorse Hill, Stratton, Walcot, Old Town and Swindon central all sandwiched in the middle.
