Highworth Community Cinema

Highworth Community Cinema continues to bring world class films to Highworth with its 2025/26 Season.

All films will be screened at the United Reformed Church which is located near the traffic lights at the top end of the High Street.

For the 2025/26 season admission is £6 per person (no concessions). Tea, coffee and biscuits are 50p, and cake is an additional 50p. Please note this is a cash only venue.

HCC shows seven films in total each season on the fourth Friday of the month from September to April. We do not show a film in December. Films start at 7.45 p.m. and doors open at 7.15 p.m.

26th SEPTEMBER 2025	The Penguin Lessons	Run time: 110 mins Cert PG
During the 1976 coup in Argentina, an English teacher rescues a penguin and brings it to his school. This starts to have a positive effect on the school.

23rd JANUARY 2026	Hard Truths	Run time: 97 mins. Cert 12
Pansy, angry and depressed, lashes out at family and strangers. Her constant criticism isolates her, except from her cheerful sister Chantelle, who remains sympathetic despite their differences.
27th FEBRUARY 2026	Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy	Run time: 124 mins. Cert 15
After jumping back into the dating pool, single mother Bridget Jones finds herself caught between a younger man and her son's science teacher.
27th MARCH 2026	Mr Burton	Run time: 124 mins. Cert 12A
The story of the wild school boy Rich Jenkins (Richard Burton), son of a boozy miner and an English teacher who recognised his talent, Philip Burton.
24th APRIL 2026	Conclave	Run time: 120 mins. Cert PG
Cardinal Lawrence finds himself at the centre of a web of conspiracies and intrigue that could shake the very foundation of the Catholic Church when selecting a new Pope.
