Christmas Blanket Project

Join Ann March on this 4 week course to crochet a cozy Christmas Blanket.
Each week you will learn to crochet a different part of the blanket pattern in greens, reds and white. You will work at home after class to make the remaining number of squares or section of the pattern for that for that week. You will recieve all the materials to make the blanket. In the final week you will learn how to join the squares and create a border to finish the project.

Intermediate crochet skills required. Prices include all materials and tools plus coffee and cake!

Mini Makes!

Karen Holland from the Lechlade Craft Barn will be holding a series of Mini Makes workshops at the VHL Arts and Crafts Centre in November. Each workshop costs £20 and each provides an introduction to a different craft. Great taster sessions with your own hand-crafted items to take away.

Meet Local Railway Author Dr. Rosa Matheson

Dr. Rosa Matheson at the Visit Highworth Information Centre on Saturday 27th September. Rosa will be launching, selling and signing copies of her latest book, Great British Steam Locomotives That Made History.

From small beginnings in ancient times, the 'magic of steam' grew until it delivered to an incredulous world a magnificent machine - the steam locomotive - and what was to become a never-ending love story, began. Many believed the 'Age of Steam' would die in the 1960s, but the passion for these much-loved and admired locomotives has ensured they live on in this 21st Century.'

At 1pm 'Meet the Author' Come chat, discover, share memories and see and buy great railway books, and celebrate 200 plus years of Swindon's, and Britain's, Railway History.
