LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Highworth's hilltop location is blessed to be surrounded by beautiful countryside with some idyllic Cotswold towns and villages on our doorstep. Places such as Lechlade-on-Thames, Burford, Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold are easily reached, as are the historic cities of Bath and Oxford.

Our corner of Wiltshire is home to the World Heritage Sites of Avebury and Stonehenge. Highworth looks out over The Vale of White Horse known for the iconic Uffington White Horse, the oldest chalk figure in Britain, dating back to around 1000 BCE. Close by is The Ridgeway, an ancient trackway described as Britain's oldest road which follows the same route over the high ground used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers.

What could be better than having a great family day out and then coming back to relax in one of Highworth's pubs or restaurants?
